Textile manufacturing is a major industry in Binzhou, and the key industry technology is based on converting three types of fibre first into yarn, then into fabric, and finally into textiles. The textiles are then fabricated into clothes or other fashion products. Cotton is the most commonly used raw fibre in the conversion process, and therefore it is given many steps of treatment during the conversion. At the final manufacturing stage, cotton textiles further undergo multiple complex treatments for coloration and spinning, turning them into a variety of textile products. Currently, most steps in the process are automated by machines; however, the delicate steps are still done by hand to yield the best quality cotton textiles.
