Binzhou is a national transportation hub that serves as an important passageway connecting several major Chinese provinces. The Yellow River Bridge is the most important access point in Binzhou as it links Jiangsu, Shandong, Beijing and Tianjin together. The Qing-Yin Expressway, Chang-Shen Expressway, Bin-De Expressway, Rong-Wu Expressway, National Road 205 and National Road 220 together constitute a modern network of transportation for the city. There are three major railway lines stretching in the southern, middle and northern part of the Binzhou. Several ports, including the Binzhou Harbor and the Dongfeng Harbor, are located in the heart of the city, which contribute to the transportation of many goods to and from Binzhou everyday.
Although currently there is no airport in Binzhou, the railway provides a convenient way for visitors and locals to travel to and from Binzhou. The Jiaoji Railway Line runs across the South of Binzhou and extends into the hinterland of the city.One can also easily travel
to Binzhou by car from Jinan or Qingdao. The car drive is about 1.5 hour from Jinan to Binzhou and 3 hours from Qingdao to Jinan. Most of the journey will be done on well-maintained highways, which in total stretch 3571 km long. The modern highway network in Binzhou is composed of three vertical highways, three horizontal highways and one circular highway. In addition, National Raod 205 and 220 run respectively from the South to the North and from the East to the West of the city. The highway system in Binzhou is managed directly by the Chinese Municipality and Central government, who have the mandate to provide the most efficient way for visitors and locals to get to and from Binzhou.
Once inside the city, travelers and locals can go around the city by bus or taxi. The bus system in Binzhou is mature and used by locals everyday. The Binzhou Bus Station is located at the junction of the 2nd Yellow River Road and the 20th Bohai Road. City bus No 9, 10, 16, 27, 28 and 107 goes to the Binzhou Bus Station. The starting fare for taxi in Binzhou is about RMB 4. After the first two kilometers, it will cost about RMB 1.2 each kilometer.
